quite an impressive resume with all those achievements and still has
numerous opportunities ahead of her.

has been featured in several issues of other powerhouse magazines, CLEO
and Enigma.

February 2009, she competed against thousands of other contestants but
eventually earned a place in the Academy. The show brings candidates
from all over the Arab world to live together and compete for the title
of the “Star”. At first, Lara received an enormous amount of criticism
for her not-so-strong grasp of the Arabic language and also because she
sang mainly in English and French, unlike the majority of the
candidates who sang and spoke Arabic almost all the time; for those
reasons she was dubbed "The Academy's Princess".
Lara later turned heads with her strong stage performances making her a tough competitor
for others and because of that she acheived a huge fan base all over
the Middle East and abroad, which helped her be the last and youngest
of the 3 Egyptians in the academy to reach the semi finals.
In February 2010, Lara released her debut single "Mission is You".
